To Infinity … And Beyond!

Woah!  Did you think I was going to talk about this crazy guy?

But I will say this about Buzz Lightyear and Co., I’m not really a huge fan.  Yes, it was kinda cool when I was a kid.  I always wondered if my toys had their own personalities and when left alone, would be awakened to pursue their wild dreams.  I have seen the first Toy Story a few times, only ever seen parts of the second one, and have no desire to watch the third one (in 3D).  I’m truly sorry if you are disappointed in the fact that I don’t appreciate this movie as maybe as much as it deserves, but I can’t help it.  I guess.

Though, if someone asked me what my favorite character is, I would have to say that slinky dog guy.  No idea on his name.  I could look it up, but I’m sure someone will shout it out to me.  (Thanks to whoever does!  11 Golden Stars coming your way).

What’s Up 2.a?

Whew!

Well, I stayed up till 4am last night working on setting up my new blog.  I’m still not sure when it’ll be ready for release as I have a ton of design work to do.

The site is live, but I’m not telling anyone the domain name……yet.  I’ll probably give everyone a sneak peek once it looks more established.  If you saw it now, it would definitely be a boring ride.

Whenever the blog does open,  I’ll be sure to have some giveaways and provide my loyal reader(s) n_n with prizes of uber goodness.

Now that I got my new blog started, I’m super stoked.  This will be motivation to write a post more than every 4-6 days.

Gotta go for lunch.  YUM!

What’s Up 2.1

I’m slowly getting closer to unveiling my new blog.  Things are starting to come together, but it will still be awhile before the ribbon cutting ceremony takes place.

I read One Piece vol. 26-88 within the last few days.

I bought the wicked awesome La Roux vinyl the other day.  My friend and I are starting to get into the DJ scene.  He has more practice than me, but it has been a ton of fun mixing songs together and beat matching.  I just need to buy my own setup once I find a job and the money.

Finding a solid routine to study Japanese has yet to be established.  I am studying, but it’s very random.  I want to create a workable schedule that well, works (duh?) and can be maintained.  hmmmm…..

Finally made my parents some Japanese food for supper last night.  I worked my magic and shared with them the wondrous taste that is Japanese Curry.  They were really impressed.  Now I just gotta figure out what to make next time.  Katsudon perhaps?

My eyes hurt.

I Have Your AE86, Takumi!

So there is a little manga series called Initial D.  You may of heard of it, or quite possibly, you may have not.  If you are one to enjoy Japanese cartoons (manga), automobiles, racing, drifting, rad characters and/or a touch of romance, then Initial D would be right up your alley.  Whether you read the manga or watch the anime, I suggest you give it a shot.  It’s gotta be one of my favorite manga/anime series that I’ve completely involved myself in.

Oh yah, there is even a live action movie based on this series.  Though, sadly enough it doesn’t stick to the canon as well as I would have liked and combines multiple characters into one uber character, but it’s still a great ride nonetheless.

But enough of that.  My main goal today is to show you a beautiful thing.  Something, that if you’re like me, you would be unable to break the stare fixed between this object and yourself.  It’s essence and aura just draws you in.  It’s, how should I say, inescapable.

Kameari is Too Cool for School

First off, when I say tomorrow, I must mean 3-4 days.  Man, I really suck at fulfilling my blog post promises.  I’m such a terrible person.  I have no reasonable excuse either.  But don’t worry, I am here, right now to save the day.  Your need for awesome reading will become satisfied in a few short moments (I hope).

You may recall a post in the past talking about this こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所 aka KochiKame for short.  If you can’t think of it, don’t worry.  I’ll refresh your memory with the help of a few visual aids.   But before that, I’ll tell you why I’m talking about this manga/anime/tv drama once more.

Triple Random Tokyo

Well, it’s about time I uploaded some of my pictures to show everyone.  I got back home on Thursday night and since then, have mostly been spending my time with family and friends.  It’s good to be back home, and yet, at the same time, it’s kinda different as well.

Anywho, I wanted to show you three pictures from Tokyo.  So, lets get started.

*Please note I suck at taking pictures.  Also, I barely take pictures.  It’s a bad habit.

I wasn’t going to take a picture of this poor fella, but because I saw someone else do it right ahead of me, I decided to.  I wonder where his/her home is?  It would be crazy if this mysterious yellow rogue was still laying on the ground right now.

Hay!

I’m back in Canada now.  I’ll have to organize all my Tokyo stuff to show you guys.

I haven’t got back to home home yet, as I am currently visiting some relatives in Vancouver.  I probably won’t make a large substantial post until I get back to my house.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and that I haven’t forgot about you.  Writing a blog post while in Tokyo was on my list of things to do, but I got busy having way to much fun.  I also made a 20 minute video in the tune of a memoir, sorta.  Don’t know if I should just keep it to myself or split it up and show it in parts.  I’ll think about it.

As soon as I get home, I’ll probably start planning the new layout of this blog and getting on a regular routine.  My super cool friend is going to help me out and teach me some things, so I’m looking forward to something fresh and new.

Super High Speed Post of Utter Glory

Huh, so, you may have noticed the lack of wicked awesome posts of craziness.  I’m sorry, truly sorry for sure.  But, I have a great excuse.  Since I’m leaving Sapporo on Saturday, everyone wants to hang out with me for one last time before I head out and unsure when I’ll be back next.  *Note to self, I will be back.  You can count on that.*

I’ve barely been sleeping in my apartment and probably have only logged in about 10 hours of sleep here over the past week or so.  I’ve got one bag packed already and the other waiting to be filled with my glorious clothes.  I’m also shipping a box home of goodies (mostly for me, mwhahahaah…and well, for others too.  Yay!).

I still have some stuff to buy for a few people and maybe for a contest a or two for those of you out there in internet land.  If you get anything, it will probably be small, as luggage space is lacking.  But yah, I haven’t forgot about those that randomly found this site and have followed me along the way.  I appreciate your support (yah, I’ll call it support) as without you, I’d be talking to no one and that’s never fun, is it?

Anyway, time to go.  A friend wants to have a late night arcade session and well, I’m obviously down for that.  Talk to you everyone soon.

Oh yah, it’s my Birthday.  I’m 24.  n_n

What’s Up 2.0

I thought I would switch it up tonight and share my most recent thoughts and news in video form.

I know, I know, the video is exactly 10 minutes long so I won’t be angry if you don’t watch it all.  7 Magic Wands of Glory to all those that do though!  *zap*

The 2nd video I have included is a short/crappy quality video I took at a restaurant I recently visited.  At least check that one out.  n_n

Some Atarashii Music

On December 20, 2009 I won a contest held over at yonasu.com.

{Thanks again for the sweet prize, yonasu!}

I just so happened to be the Grand Prize winner and scored myself a ¥3000 iTunes Gift Card. Being dominated in Yen, I obviously had to use the Gift Card in the Japanese iTunes store. This was a great opportunity to sang some songs had I wanted to listen to for awhile and find some new music by just randomly surfing the store. I promised yonasu that I would give him my list of songs when I redeemed the full credit on the Gift Card. I managed to redeem the ¥3000 today, and instead of just giving him my list in an email, I thought I would share it with everyone.

Some of the songs I choose were from the soundtrack on Jubeat (that crazy awesome music arcade game I’ve been playing lately). The soundtrack is great so I made sure to grab a few of those.  Many others were just randomly found via a ton of music previews.  Most songs are embedded with links to their corresponding video on YouTube (except 8 and 11; sorry).

The List: (From first downloaded to last)

1. Air Man Ga Taosenai – Team.Nekokan[Neko]

Inspired by the fun/challenging MegaMan (RockMan) games and especially the desperately hard opponent that is AirMan.
