Triple Random Tokyo

Well, it’s about time I uploaded some of my pictures to show everyone.  I got back home on Thursday night and since then, have mostly been spending my time with family and friends.  It’s good to be back home, and yet, at the same time, it’s kinda different as well.

Anywho, I wanted to show you three pictures from Tokyo.  So, lets get started.

*Please note I suck at taking pictures.  Also, I barely take pictures.  It’s a bad habit.

I wasn’t going to take a picture of this poor fella, but because I saw someone else do it right ahead of me, I decided to.  I wonder where his/her home is?  It would be crazy if this mysterious yellow rogue was still laying on the ground right now.

Hay!

I’m back in Canada now.  I’ll have to organize all my Tokyo stuff to show you guys.

I haven’t got back to home home yet, as I am currently visiting some relatives in Vancouver.  I probably won’t make a large substantial post until I get back to my house.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and that I haven’t forgot about you.  Writing a blog post while in Tokyo was on my list of things to do, but I got busy having way to much fun.  I also made a 20 minute video in the tune of a memoir, sorta.  Don’t know if I should just keep it to myself or split it up and show it in parts.  I’ll think about it.

As soon as I get home, I’ll probably start planning the new layout of this blog and getting on a regular routine.  My super cool friend is going to help me out and teach me some things, so I’m looking forward to something fresh and new.

Super High Speed Post of Utter Glory

Huh, so, you may have noticed the lack of wicked awesome posts of craziness.  I’m sorry, truly sorry for sure.  But, I have a great excuse.  Since I’m leaving Sapporo on Saturday, everyone wants to hang out with me for one last time before I head out and unsure when I’ll be back next.  *Note to self, I will be back.  You can count on that.*

I’ve barely been sleeping in my apartment and probably have only logged in about 10 hours of sleep here over the past week or so.  I’ve got one bag packed already and the other waiting to be filled with my glorious clothes.  I’m also shipping a box home of goodies (mostly for me, mwhahahaah…and well, for others too.  Yay!).

I still have some stuff to buy for a few people and maybe for a contest a or two for those of you out there in internet land.  If you get anything, it will probably be small, as luggage space is lacking.  But yah, I haven’t forgot about those that randomly found this site and have followed me along the way.  I appreciate your support (yah, I’ll call it support) as without you, I’d be talking to no one and that’s never fun, is it?

Anyway, time to go.  A friend wants to have a late night arcade session and well, I’m obviously down for that.  Talk to you everyone soon.

Oh yah, it’s my Birthday.  I’m 24.  n_n

What’s Up 2.0

I thought I would switch it up tonight and share my most recent thoughts and news in video form.

I know, I know, the video is exactly 10 minutes long so I won’t be angry if you don’t watch it all.  7 Magic Wands of Glory to all those that do though!  *zap*

The 2nd video I have included is a short/crappy quality video I took at a restaurant I recently visited.  At least check that one out.  n_n

Some Atarashii Music

On December 20, 2009 I won a contest held over at yonasu.com.

{Thanks again for the sweet prize, yonasu!}

I just so happened to be the Grand Prize winner and scored myself a ¥3000 iTunes Gift Card. Being dominated in Yen, I obviously had to use the Gift Card in the Japanese iTunes store. This was a great opportunity to sang some songs had I wanted to listen to for awhile and find some new music by just randomly surfing the store. I promised yonasu that I would give him my list of songs when I redeemed the full credit on the Gift Card. I managed to redeem the ¥3000 today, and instead of just giving him my list in an email, I thought I would share it with everyone.

Some of the songs I choose were from the soundtrack on Jubeat (that crazy awesome music arcade game I’ve been playing lately). The soundtrack is great so I made sure to grab a few of those.  Many others were just randomly found via a ton of music previews.  Most songs are embedded with links to their corresponding video on YouTube (except 8 and 11; sorry).

The List: (From first downloaded to last)

1. Air Man Ga Taosenai – Team.Nekokan[Neko]

Inspired by the fun/challenging MegaMan (RockMan) games and especially the desperately hard opponent that is AirMan.

Farts Aren’t Embarrassing

Upon reading that title, you might be wondering what the heck I have in store for you. It’s not very common to go around talking about *ssshhhh* farts *ssshhhh* just cause. I must have a reason. Of course I have a reason. A very important one at that.

Well, sorta.

I know of all us have been in the situation (whether you say or not) where a build up of high pressure air needs to be released. If you’re by yourself or with friends/family who don’t care, then firing away is quite easy. Other times, it may be necessary to leave the room and visit the bathroom/restroom. No problems, right. But what about those situations where getting away isn’t so easy? Or the times when a surprise attack occurs with no warning?

A Haircut

Now, this isn’t my first time getting a haircut in Japan. I got one way back in August, well, I think it was August. Anyways, the way the first was quite ordinary and similar in style as to the service I receive back home.

About 3 weeks ago, we had a small gathering of people over celebrating the past season of snorkeling at our local pool. It was a wonderful time. Endless amounts of food, drink, and desserts were laid out across 3 tables for everyone to delight in. Someone that came near the end of the night was fellow Canadian who in fact teaches English to the neighbours every Monday afternoon. I made mention that a haircut was in order for my head fairly soon and he went on to ask if I had gotten a haircut since arriving in Japan. I said “yes”. His response kinda threw me off a little. He replied with something similar like “quite the experience, eh?” I immediately thought of my first haircut, which I mentioned was normal, and replied, “yah, crazy for sure!” I had no freaking idea to what he was referring to as “quite the experience” but I just went along with what he said. I obviously missed out on something my first go around.

So today, I finally made the effort to cut my long (for me it was) hair and made sure to find a place that would give me “quite the experience.”

A Special Guest: Kota

You’ve most likely seen this guy in a few photos scattered around the blog. He is the oldest (12) of the three children in his family. Kota is in Grade 6, loves to play tennis, hang out with his family and friends, and oh yah, did I mention he likes video games? We get along very well even with the lack of proper verbal communication. I have had a ton of fun hanging out with not only him, but his brothers as well. I’ll definitely miss these guys when I return home.

If for some reason you’re having trouble picturing Kota, here is a recent photo I took of him. The glasses were just for fun.
